NOTE: Prior to this survey, CHUM-FM had branded itself "Toronto's Ultimate
Rock", and was considered an AOR station.
However, for several months prior to this survey, CHUM-FM had been
gradually shifting from an AOR format towards an A/C format. With the loss
of the slogan "Toronto's Ultimate Rock" from the survey headline as of this
week (and the advent of the decidedly non-rock band Wham! taking the number
one spot on the chart) this survey unofficially marks the conversion of
