Ken Booth, Director of News for KEEL radio, has 
been named winner of an American Political
Science Association award for excellence in public
affairs reporting. In recognition for the award,
both Booth and KEEL will receive plaques from
the Association. In addition, Booth will attend a 
week-long, expense paid seminar on public affairs
reporting later in the year.
Booth won the national award for his 30-minute
documentary "Government Reform: A Study of 
Volition" which traced an unsuccessful attempt
at revamping Shreveport municipal government 
last year. He was the only radio reporter in the
country to win an award from the Political Science
Association and was the only winner in Louisiana.
Other winners announced in Washington were: The
New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The
Washington Post
