TWO CENTS A RADIO SURVEY FORUM
Use this page to browse contributors' posts to the Two Cents forum.
The Two Cents forum is just a place for folks to chat about the surveys and other goodies in the
ARSA database. It's also a great place to post your wish list of surveys or airchecks. Some use
their ARSA account as a means to advertise their (radio-oriented) website. All good reasons,
as far as I'm concerned.
BROWSING TWO CENTS
Like the other ARSA pages, you can search and sort the two cents messages. By default, the Two Cents
page lists all entries, showing the latest additions first. To change the sort order, click the column
headings. Clicking the same heading twice will change the sort of that column from ascending to descending.
There are a few page buttons to hop about in the list, and you can search by poster's name or by subject.
To search, enter the word in the text box and click the "Search" button.
HOW DO I POST A MESSAGE?
To add your two cents to the forum, you'll need to create an ARSA profile.
It's pretty simple, really. You'll just need to enter your name, account or user name, a password, your
e-mail address. The profile is free and the information therein is not exploited in any way whatsoever.
Once you have created your profile, you will be "logged in". You can log in and out of your ARSA account
from the home page (click the "ARSA" button at the top of the navigation bar to the left).
Once logged in, you will notice a few additional buttons. For one, a "MY PROFILE" button will be added
to the bottom of the navigation bar. Additionally, a few of the pages will have an addition button titled
"Add My 2¢".
From the "TWO CENTS" page, clicking "Add My 2¢" will allow you to add a generic message. While browsing
a particular survey, clicking the "Add My 2¢" button on the survey page will automatically link your
forum posting to both the survey and the associated radio station. Forum postings linked to a survey
are displayed on that survey's page.
WHY MUST I CREATE A PROFILE?
Or... "Why so much hassle? Why not just let anyone post?" I hear you. But I also read over the
web logs and have operated guestbooks. I've seen what appear to be guestbook signing robots whose
sole purpose seems to be to polute the web with links to lowlife sites in order to promote those sites'
popularity in the search motors. I get tired of having to remove guestbook messages written in
eastern European languages announcing websites hosted in Turkey and punctuated with stupid smilies.
So, well, you have to create a profile if you want to post. It's not foolproof... but it helps,
it's easy, and it's free.
